Denny Hamlin is not ready to move from "most likely" to "definitely" but in his mind, the 2027 season will be his swan song in the NASCAR Cup Series and with Joe Gibbs, where he has driven since 2005.
"With essentially little to no underbody because we’re now going to the short track aerodynamic package for Darlington, these cars are out of control," says Denny Hamlin.

Denny Hamlin overcame an early speeding penalty and drove through the field in a fairly dominating win for Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota.
The first-place finish moves Hamlin up to 10th on the all-time wins list for the series, breaking a tie with Kevin Harvick.
Toyota continued its reign of dominance in NASCAR Cup Series qualifying at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with Bell, Hamlin, Gibbs, and Wallace sweeping the top four.
Bell topped the board at 184.062 mph during Saturday morning practice at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, while teammate Hamlin went second fastest at 183.436 mph.
